Why we are building Pathik
Every parent knows the small worry that won’t go away. A child who isn’t pointing yet. Who doesn’t turn to their name. Who lit up at twelve months and then grew quieter. It arrives as a question you almost don’t want to say aloud:

Too often the advice is “wait and watch.” But waiting costs the one thing that matters most in early childhood: time, the years when the brain changes most and support does the most good.
Specialists are few and far between, waitlists run for months, and good information is buried under fear and stigma. Many parents who sense something early have no honest, affordable first step at all. We built Pathik to be that step, one any parent can take quietly, wherever they live and whatever they earn.

No. Pathik is an app that does developmental screening, a calm, clinical first look at how your child is growing. A screening can show what’s typical, what’s worth watching, and what’s worth bringing to your paediatrician. A diagnosis is a separate, in-person clinical process.
There’s no fixed schedule to keep. Screening is most useful during the toddler window, and you can screen whenever you’d like a fresh read, or when your clinician suggests one.
Today Pathik is built for toddlers, roughly 16 to 30 months old. That’s the window where this kind of screening is most useful.
A qualified clinician reads every screening — a developmental paediatrician or child psychologist, never a machine on its own. Your answers are scored by a consistent, versioned method, and you can see the clinicians who do this work, with their credentials, in Our clinicians.
You are never left alone with a number. Every report, whatever it shows, ends with clear, plain-English next steps and a helpline you can call. For anything worth watching, we suggest what to do next, including when to consult a developmental paediatrician.
